Honestly the comfiest shoes I've ever owned! The insoles are very supportive and the overall quality is top notch.

I can confidently say these have come to replace all my other sneakers. The shoes are crazy durable and hardly show signs of wear after 4 months.

Never thought I would buy a shoe made of garbage and feel good about it

Love the shoes, I expect nothing less from any cascas. They hold up pretty well in any environment (snow/rain, you name it). I also highly recommend the custom insoles.

Only downside is that they are a little warm in the summer.

LONG-TERM REVIEW (08/09/2021) UPDATE

Following my original LONG-TERM REVIEW, from 08/09/2021, I needed to visit my podiatrist to treat a persistent corn on the second toe of my right foot. The doctor determined that the corn was the result of a bone spur in the second toe, brought on by the bunion on my large toe and by wearing ill-fitting shoes and outdoor work boots for much of my life, which likely caused my bunions in the first place.

I saw the podiatrist on three occasions, and I made it a point to wear a different pair of shoes for each visit. During my first visit, he said that my daily knock-about Chelsea boots were OK. On my second visit I wore the expensive work shoes mentioned in my original review from 08/09/2021. The doctor said that those shoes - which I had purposely purchased in a wide size - were exacerbating the problem, and that I shouldn’t wear them ever again.

For my third and final visit, I wore my Casca Avro work shoes with the SmartFit custom insoles. The doctor looked long and hard at the insoles when he was examining the Avros. I had subconsciously braced myself for what I thought was going to be a negative reaction from him, because of how long and how intently he was looking at the insole.

When he finally spoke, he asked me where I had gotten the insoles and what they had cost. I explained that they were a custom 3-D printed insole (which it seemed he may have already known from his examination of them) based on photos I’d taken using Casca’s SmartFit program, and that normally they would have been a $65 upgrade, but that I had gotten them for free because of a promotion Casca was offering when I bought the Avros. It came as a total shock to me when he said that, in his professional opinion, anything under $100 for the SmartFit insoles was an absolute bargain - so I guess “free” was a steal - and he would not have been surprised if they had cost as much as $500, although he felt that price would have been totally exorbitant.

Of the three pairs of shoes I showed my podiatrist, the Casca Avros were by far the best for my feet. Granted, the bone spur is not going to go away by itself - only surgery will accomplish that - and the type of movement I do in my retail job is not helping my foot problems. With 18 months left before retirement, and with a goal of avoiding surgery if at all possible, I was advised to limit the side-to-side movement I usually need to do in my job and to continue wearing the Avro shoes for work. Thank you, Casca!

Comfy Bois

Most of all, these are really comfortable shoes. The build quality is fantastic and feels like they'll last 2-3x longer than my existing pairs of shoes. I live in the PNW and don't feel afraid to wear these in the rain. Lastly, they look great (better in person than online) - I have received a few compliments already!

Quality evident, great support/comfort

Just a sturdier, more substantial, quality feel than you’re used to with most sneakers, extremely satisfied and have already ordered a second pair, tempted to move on many of my old sneakers which have just become very unappealing to slip on.
